Egg Recall, FDA to check all the big egg farms


The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decided to inspect all the big egg farms of the country. FDA has taken this decision after the massive egg recall because of the salmonella outbreak.

Over 1500 people fell sick due to the salmonella outbreak which was linked to the chicken feed used in the two Iowa chicken farms. According to the reports, over half a billion eggs were recalled.

An official of the Obama administration has announced their plans of inspecting all major egg farms in the country. Most of the big egg farms in the country were not inspected by the officials from past few decades.

These egg farm inspections will begin from the September and would be completed by the end of this year.

This egg recall is the biggest salmonella outbreak happened in US in the recent past. FDA and the government officials are on high alert and they are dealing this issue seriously.
