Earlier FDA has confirmed the contamination of the chicken feed at the Iowa farms. This has prompted the recall of over half a billion possible salmonella contaminated eggs.

This salmonella contaminated chicken feed was produced at feed mill, which is a part of the Wright Country egg operation.

This is the massive egg recall, and this is the biggest contamination after the 1970 incident.

This outbreak might be the reason for the salmonella related illness cases that were reported in the recent times.
